Waterfowl Muscovy Ducks Scovies are a large duck that comes from South America, they are one of the few types of ducks not related to Mallards. Scovies are very good fliers, although drakes over the age of 1 year rather walk then fly. These ducks also like to roost on fences and in trees when given the chance. They are very friendly and a lot calmer then Mallard derived duck breeds. They also make wonderful broodies and moms. They are the silkie chickens of the duck world! I currently breed the colours Black and Chocolate with the occasional pieds. New Waterfowl Additions 2009! This Spring I imported several Goslings from Metzer Farms in California.
